Our educational work in the schools of Paphos continued with visits to Nikolaideio Gymnasium, Stroumpi Primary School, and Drouseia Primary School and Kindergarten. The children welcomed us with great enthusiasm, as large vehicles do not usually visit their schools.
At Drouseia Kindergarten and Primary School, the children told us about a problem they face in the mountainous areas of Paphos. Specifically, they explained that they are unable to recycle because the appropriate recycling collection truck does not pass through their villages. As a result, we suggested ways they could reuse materials in order to reduce their waste.
During our visit to the village of Drouseia, a business owner working in the food service sector noticed our presence and asked us to place a collection barrel at her restaurant.
