On Thursday, 29 October, the Tiganokinisi team visited the School for the Deaf in Nicosia.
Our presentation began in the school’s beautiful outdoor area, surrounded by native shrubs and lovely lavender plants. The children welcomed us with smiles and were quick to get involved! Through questions, observations and active participation, they followed the experiments at the Tiganokinisi caravan. They learned about recycling used cooking oil and how simple everyday habits can help us lead a more sustainable lifestyle.
As we were leaving, we received a lovely gift of scented room fresheners, made by the school’s children using lavender from their school garden.
Thank you to Panayiota Themistokleous for the Cypriot Sign Language interpretation, and to the School for the Deaf for their hospitality!
