Expansion of the irrigation system in the schoolyard

The 2nd Regional Gymnasium of Nicosia utilised funds from the Tiganokinisi program for the purchase of trees and an irrigation system.

The trees were planted in the schoolyard as part of the action “Greening my school,” and the irrigation system was also expanded in the area where they were placed. One of the school’s goals is to develop in students a sense of social responsibility and awareness regarding the role of humans in environmental protection, through awareness campaigns and active engagement of the school and the wider local community.
